Staying away from home whether its business or pleasure should be relaxing. You can choose from Single, Double or Kingsized bed with Bath or Shower. Be honest when did you last have a bath at home, your life is so busy its a quick jump in the shower and out again.
We dont provide anybody to scrub your back, but you can switch off and let the hot water work those kinks out of your muscles.
Lets be honest Hilton House is not a modern day hotel, it was built in the mid 1800’s as a family home within the grounds of Wakelyn Hall, you can still see the stable block, now housing the beer cellar unfortunately, so we have to make up for mod cons with quirks such as beams and steps and cosy yet functional rooms.
You can also relax in the comfy lounge with soft seating and low tables, or join in the day to day life of the bar. However in the summer months you will want to enjoy the sun in the garden.
Hilton as a village is very close to a number of popular attractions for to you to explore, such as Kedlestone Hall or The National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas a beautiful place to spend the day and reflect, or take a moment to remember a fallen family member.
Returning to Hilton House, you can enjoy a home-made meal prepared by our chefs. You will not feel like you have seen our menu in various other locations, its all fresh.
The hotel being family run is not 24 hour, but you are provided with your own key to come and go as you please.
Breakfast is often quoted as the most important meal of the day, yet so many of us skip it. Dont you dare! Some consider this the best reason for staying. We offer a standard English Breakfast, commencing with cereal, orange juice and tea or fresh filter coffee. Choose from fried, poached or scrambled eggs with your bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes and black pudding and white or brown toast.

We ask that you check out by 10am, although this can be extended by prior arrangement.
