A Tour of the Hotel
Hilton House Hotel is a Georgian period hotel set in the village of Hilton, Derbyshire on the border of Staffordshire England. Hilton can be found easily from the A50 that runs from Uttoxeter 15 miles to the East; A516 that runs from Derby 10 miles, through Mickleover and Etwall to the North or the A38 that runs from Burton on Trent 12 miles to the South and provides easy access to the various tourist attractions Derbyshire and Staffordshire has to offer such as Keddleston Hall; Tutbury Castle; Alton Towers and British Grand Prix venue from 2010 Donington Park.

The hotel provides free ample parking for its customers making travelling to this part of Derbyshire hassle free and upon entering you have a choice of the public bar with its real log fire lit in the early evening to warm you or perhaps you would prefer the lounge and its bar, where you can gaze upon the mature cedar tree within the enclosed garden that complements the Hilton House Hotel.

The hotel has a public and lounge bar offering Draught Lagers and Beers plus Real Ale or choose from our wine list before maybe venturing into our Restaurant.

On the first floor are 6 of the hotels 10 bedrooms, a mixture of twin and double rooms with shower en-suite apart from one room with a separate bathroom. All rooms have the usual tea and coffee making facilities and Colour TV. Where the current signal permits a Freeview box has been installed to improve your viewing choices above the normal 5 channels. In a separate cottage there are a further 4 rooms, 2 at ground floor and 2 at 1st floor levels which currently have bath en-suite’s which are being modernized during August 2009 to have shower attachments included.

Restaurant

Hilton House Hotel’s restaurant is a popular venue for special occasions and our chefs are very experienced at catering for over 100 seated for a large society dinner or wedding reception but also for those intimate nights when a table for 2 is the order of the day.

Our restaurant is the perfect setting for a Christmas Party night where the hotel offers a meal and disco; one of our Cabaret nights where you are fed and entertained by live acts, or a private celebration to include a buffet where 150 guests can be accommodated.

The restaurant however is versatile enough to be reduced in size so that a smaller meal for 20 or a regular meeting to include food or not can be held at Hilton House Hotel which is made easier by its ample free parking and easy access to major routes through Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Many organizations use the hotel restaurant for their Annual Dinner Dances and December sees the Christmas Party festivities, culminating in our 5 course Christmas Day Lunch and New Years Eve Party.

Evening dining is available Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm until 8:30pm with a regularly revised a la carte menu available and chef’s specials at lunchtime Tuesday to Friday from 12pm until 2:30pm, if however this is too formal for you there is a separate bar menu on offer.

The Grounds

On a hot summers day why not relax in our safely enclosed garden with mature Cedar tree dominating the immediate skyline. With ample free parking Hilton House Hotel provides an easy excuse to explore Derbyshire and Staffordshire before stopping of to enjoy a meal either in the restaurant or maybe just a bar snack to fight of the hunger pangs.
